Taekwondo dominates NSJF player of the award

Kathmandu, August 20 - Taekwondo bagged four of the six awards at the award given by Nepal Sports Journalist Fourm (NSJF) here on Monday. Deepak Bista bagged the Male Player of the year award. He had won a gold medal in the 10th SAF Games held in Sri Lanka. Likewise he had also won a Bronze medal in the 15th Doha Asiad in 2006.
While Manita Shahi and Ayesha Shakya bagged Female Player and youth of the year award respectively. Shahi had won a gold in SAF and bronze in Doha Asiad. Shakya had won a silver in SAF and bronze in Doha.
South Korean Kwan Hawk Jung was awarded the coach of the year. Likewise was honored Special Award to Hari Bahadur Rokaya, the world record-holding runner.
The life time achievement award was presented to Suresh Singh Ale for his contribution to boxing.
