Social lifts Inter School Coca Cola Cup

Social Public School(SPC) of Pokhara lifted the Coca-Cola Cup Inter-School National Football Tournament edging Sountha School, Morang 3-1 in the penalty shootout after the game concluded on 1-1 draw.
Naresh Serchan struck the decisive penalty for Social Public School. However the real hero of the tiebreakers was the goalkeeper Sagar Gurung of SPC. He made two excellent stops from Santosh Seling and Megh Raj Budhathoki. Social’s Raj Kumar Pariyar calmly dispatched his spot kick after Bishal Tamang had put the Morang side ahead in the shootout. Winner Social bagged a cash prize of Rs 200,000 runner up Sountha got Rs 100,000. The third and fourth placed team bagged Rs 50,000 and 25,000 respectively.
Puspha Chettri got SPC the break through in the 7th minute of the first half with Dhurva Ghimire’s pass form the D- area. Prakash Giri scored the equalizer for Sountha in the 23rd minute.
