Nepal beats Germany

Nepal won its first match of the ICC World division 5 tournament against Germany by seven wickets in Jersey on Friday. In the match played at the Les Quennevais Ground Basanta Regmi and Mehaboob Alam bowled superbly to wrap Germany’s innings for 69 runs in 39.4 overs. Both of them took three wickets each. Skipper Binod Das had an excellent opening spell. He got the first break through for Nepal. Nepal chased the target in 20.2 overs. Opener Paresh Lohani failed to open his account. Likewise Saradh Vesawakar and Shakti Gauchan scored 12 and 11 runs respectively before returning to the pavilion. Opener Mahesh Chettri scored the highest runs. He remained not out on 23 of 54balls. Basanta Regmi bagged the player of the award for his superb bowling of 5.5-4-4-3.
